How do i cash a check... under there circumstances?

Okay, so got a check from doing online surveys and i didn't tell my mom, she thinks doing anything with money online is bad or a scam. Anyways, i just got the check a few days ago, i'm a minor, without ID, but i have a bank account, under a shared name of her name and mine. Would i be able to cash/deposit this check without her? As long as i have my bank book, and i endorse the check, there should be no problem, right? Any help would be great. Thanks.

You can probably deposit the check but she will see the deposit on the statement. You probably won't be able to get money back without ID, though.





You could possibly try cashing it at a grocery store. What you do is endorse the check, hand it over, and then the store can deposit it into their account. I used to work in a grocery store and we would take payroll checks as payment, and give cash as change (it required a manager's approval, but we did it all the time). If you're obviously a minor, or they ask for ID, you may be out of luck, though.





Otherwise, there are check cashing places that will give you money but will keep a percentage of the amount of the check.

But as others have said, it will come in the statements, or if your mom uses online statements, she will see the cheque that was in your name.





Best thing is to endorse %26amp; give it to someone else and get cash from him. Then he/she can deposit it in whatever account he /she wants.

If you put only your signature, then it becomes a cash check and anyone can cash it even a thief.
Reply:if you have a debit card you can do a bank machine deposit without any form of ID. Most times banks don't give you a very hard time for depositing money, even if it's not your account. If you are trying to withdraw money however they are alot stricter.
